Laser Dental Treatment
Lasers have been used in dentistry since the 1960’s. Treatment involves generating a beam of light into the mouth. The light allows your dentist to precisely eliminate infected areas. Sterilizing the affected area, the beam of light closes off blood vessels. Most patients rarely need anesthesia for laser treatment; making the dental visit relatively short.
Lasers are most commonly used to remove old composite fillings and to sterilize infected root canals. Lasers can also be utilized for oral surgery, bone shaping and crown lengthening.
